Nik Coleman

From 1995 to 2000, Nic was one part of the "Rob, Nik and Neil Morning Crew" on Radio Broadland. Nik provided the voices of many of the comedy characters on the show. Since leaving the station, Nik has gone on to become a film maker and has made two series for Sky TV. You can find out more about Nik's work at the following website: www.nikcoleman.com.

 

Richard Beardmore

Richard Beardmore joined Radio Broadland in 1987 and remained at the station until 2000. After leaving Radio Broadland, Richard moved to the Florida Keys to present an Afternoon Drive show. He then made the move to Sheffield where he worked at Peak 107 before more recently venturing into the world of television working at Channel 4 and E4.

 

Nick Risby
Nick was the first voice on
Radio Broadland back on 1st October 1984. Nick did Breakfast for a few years before Rob Chandler took over. Nick left Radio Broadland to join the Police force, but soon decided to go back into radio, joining Suffolk at SGR FM (or Orwell FM and Saxon FM as they were known up to 14th Feburary 1992).

 

Nick did 12-3pm show then went on to do the Ipswich Breakfast show as they used to do separate Breakfast shows for the Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds areas. Nick remained on Breakfast throughout and became part of the Morning Crew when GWR took over SGR in 1997. Nick left in 1999 to work for SES a window company in Ipswich. Nick is now back on the radio working for the BBC at Radio Suffolk where he remains today.

 

Stuart Davies
Stuart Davies presented the Early Breakfast Show 5-7am and Sunday Morning 7-9 am when Paul Stephen left. Stuart was promoted on to Drivetime 4-7pm then later 2-6pm when Radio Broadland split frequencies to create an AM slot for Amber Radio in 1995. Stuart also presented the Weekend Breakfast show on a Saturday Morning 6-9am.

 

In 1996 Stuart left to join the new Independent Local Radio Service for Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, "The Beach". He was there for about 3 years doing the Breakfast Show and in-between this he was at KLFM doing various shifts as well as being KLFM's Programme Controller for a time. He then went to work for Fox FM, firstly as Head of Music and presenter, then as the station's Programme Controller. In 2002 he went to Power FM which is Fox FM's sister station within the Capital Radio group, and he was still doing the same role as their Programme Controller. Today, Stuart is back working for the GWR group in management at Chiltern FM in Dunstable, Bedfordshire.


Kevin Lawrence
Kevin presented "The Broadland Beat" until 1992 when Chris Marston took over. Kevin also presented "Saturday Special" 2-6pm until he left to join Hereward FM in Peterborough doing various shows. He left Hereward for some time to join Ocean FM under the name of Rick James. Kevin then returned to Hereward around the time when GWR took over the Mid Anglia Radio group, Kevin firstly did afternoons and then was part of the Morning Crew. He then left to front the Breakfast Show at Lite FM, another radio station in the Peterborough area.
