Tales of the Coast opened in 1984, and began life as an open air attraction called "Fantasy Boat Ride". The ride was revamped in 1989 with the addition of an enclosed section and a new theme. "Voyage to Aladdin's Cave" is probably best remembered as being the attraction which featured the dragon and many will remember the characters repeated call of "New lamps for old". In 2006 the attraction was re-themed once more to the ride you will find today. A combination of water ride and dark ride, "Tales of the Coast" takes riders on a trip into the story of the legendary "Black Shuck", a ghostly dog who roams the coastline of Norfolk and Suffolk. The dog is said to be the size of a horse with flaming red eyes. Will you make it out the other side in one piece?

When I was a child I remember the dragon used to scare me so much, so much that once I almost dropped my dolly into the water :(. Much better as Alladins Cave and thats how I will always remember it.
