Snake in the Grass has been part of Pleasurewood Hills since 1986. Beginning its life as the far more tame sounding Ladybird it evolved into The Rattlesnake in the early 1990's. More recently the ride received a revamp, with a new colour scheme and a new name Snake in the Grass. The ride begins with a lift hill housed in a tunnel followed by a couple of laps around the figure of eight track. In the past, the ride experience was enhanced by the presence of a dark, enclosed lift tunnel which featured glow in the dark snakes on the walls. There was also a second enclosed tunnel area on a speedy corner midway through the ride. These have since been removed and a metal tunnel has been built over the lift hill allowing the ride to operate in wet weather and no longer provides a dark, themed start to the ride.

i live 2 mins away from this park and i'm always there in the summer i cant count how many times of rode this coaster. It may b small, loud, uncomfortable and has 2 have weights put in the front so it can coast but it was the first coaster at pleasure wood hills and is so old that's why i love it its a living memory they were goin 2 get rid of and i joined the petition to stop it yay

Mrs Wilkins' Review

This ride is the same age as me 24 and I love it so much! I remember being a little girl and going on this ride with my family and now that I am married I go on it with my husband! This ride and this park has a lot of memory's for me, I will always love it here and I try to go at least once a year! I just wish that Ronnie the Raccoon was still there as I miss seeing him around the park, god how things change, this park has changed an awful lot since I was a little girl!!! Bring back Ronnie!

Amy's Review

I went on it with my dad thinking it would be a kiddies ride. When we went up the hill, I instantly changed my thoughts about it. I nearly threw up and hated it until the 2nd lap and started loving. I nearly banged my head but oh well! Brilliant ride, highly recommended!!

Jamie's Review

I went on this ride when i was 9 or 10 years old and it was really good. You can also get 3 or 2 goes on it which is good. My favorite part is when it rides up the tunnel in the dark and then it comes down a steep hill.

Richard's Review

I'm pretty sure it was something else before it became the rattlesnake. But it's a pity they took the lights out of the 2nd tunnel.
